Follow these guidelines for choosing the right labeling machinery for your application.

Define your process and requirements: Choosing the right labeling equipment, requires that you clearly define your manufacturing process and requirements.

To find the best labeling equipment for your application: Make sure that you understand your existing process, think about how it must perform during times of high demand cycle and communicate those requirements to Walpak technical representatives.

Choose the systems that meet your needs and within your budget, and best equipped to meet labeling and machinery speed. Generally we'll source a system or systems to adapt to your production requirements. However, you may also consider a custom system for a specific application.

For labeling bottles, use a rotary inline labeling system that provides reliable service. Different types of labeling applicators are available for packages. The correct applicator choice depends on speed and accuracy of labels placement, these systems includes: Air Blow, Wipe-ones, Tamp and Blow and Dual Tamp Action-applying two labels in one machine sequence after detecting the package (shipping and content).

What types of labels you require: Pre-printed labels are suited for large production environment where product information and labeling do not need to change. Labels are printed elsewhere and applied when needed. Print And Apply labeling technology is used for many manufacturing labeling needs including application of barcodes, content labels, shipping labels, and graphic images for product branding. In this case, labels are printed in real time and applied to the packages on production line.

Pressure Sensitive labels use an adhesive backing to adhere labels to packages. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Tags contain a small microchip and antenna that embedded in the label and contain information on package content and customer's account Number etc.

Shrink Sleeve labels are pre-printed and the 'Sleeve' is applied to the container and shrink to container's size when heat is applied through a tunnel.
